A MESSAGE TO OUR CLIENTS

We have missed you all maybe more than you missed us! We're so excited to welcome you back to Amy's Natural Spa.

We are taking all necessary steps to create a safe and clean environment when we reopen the spa with recommendations by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) & Barbicide (beauty professional industry leader for disinfectants).  We hope that these best practices will ease your mind, give you a guideline of our commitment so we can better serve you and all your nails care and spa services needs.    Please take a moment to read this page, in its entirety, before your appointment. 

On behalf of Amy's Natural Spa, thank you so very much for your support of our local business.  We are thrilled to be able to see our clients and friends again. 

WHAT WE'RE DOING TO KEEP US SAFE

Changes in the Salon
  • Removing chairs in waiting area. Instead we will text or call you when you can enter for your appointment.

  • We will screen staffs and clients for symptoms on arrival.  We will use  an infrared touch-less thermometer to check for fevers,    ask you to sanitize your hands and fill out our  Health Evaluation Form.

  • Please come to your appointment alone.  We will not have space for extra people.

  • Each spa chair and nail station has a sneeze guard protection.  We will rotate /skip spa chair to keep 6 feet apart.

  • Only 1 client per technician/ masseuse/esthetician/ in the spa at the time.

  • You will need to wash your hands with water and soap for at lease 20 seconds.

  • Both technician/masseuse and client will need to wear appropriate mask when providing/receiving treatment.

  • No waiting or drying of nails inside the spa.  Gel color/power color is recommended  instead of regular nail color.

  • We will not be serving beverages.

  • There will be no reading material/ magazines in the spa.  Please do not bring unnecessary items into the spa.

Personal Protective  Equipment and Hand Hygiene
  • Technician/Masseuse/Esthetician will wear face coverings at all times in the spa.

  • Before and after every client, technician/masseuse/esthetician  will wash their hands for 20 seconds with soap and water, or use hand sanitizer for 30 seconds.

  • Technician/Masseuse/Esthetician have been trained on the symptoms of COVID-19 and will self-monitor.  If a technician/ masseuse/esthetician has symptoms that could be COVID-19, she will reschedule clients until she is symptom-free. 

Cleaning and Disinfecting 
  • When possible, all doors in the spa will be kept open to increase ventilation.
  • Workstations and treatment rooms will be routinely and frequently cleaned and disinfected, including between each client, with an EPA-approved disinfectant that kills the coronavirus.  Areas that will be cleaned and disinfected include:
    • treatment tables
    • face cradles
    • esthetic devices
    • facial steamers
    • chairs/stools
    • towel warmers
    • hand mirrors
    • wax pots
    • side tables
    • cabinets
    • desk
    • bench
    • spa chairs
    • nail station
    • pedicure bowls
    • manicure bowls
    • electronic tools
    • nail color charts
    • nail polish bottles
    • products and containers 
  • The entire spa will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected at the end of each day, allowing disinfectant to sit on surfaces overnight. 
  • Esthetic devices equipment and nail tools such as scissors, tweezers, nail/cuticle clippers, cuticle pushers, drill bits and brushes will be cleaned and disinfected between clients with an EPA-approved disinfectant that kills coronavirus. 
  • Single-use items will be thrown away in a covered garbage container immediately after use. 
  • Reusable items such as sheets, pillow cases and towels are:
    • Immediately put in a covered laundry container until washing​.
    • Washed at 160 degrees for at least 25 minutes.

What we need you to do

  • Reschedule if you do not feel well:  It is extremely important that we all stay home if we are sick.  If you need to cancel because you feel ill, we will not charge a cancellation fee. 

  • Wear a face-covering: You must wear a face-covering that covers your nose and mouth at all times in the salon. We have paper masks if you need one.

  • Wait in your car:  Your technician/ masseuse/esthetician  will come and get you when the nail station/spa chair/treatment room has been disinfected and she is ready for you.  Your technician/masseuse/ esthetician will take your temperature before entering the salon.  If you have a fever, you will be asked to reschedule.

  • Sanitize your hands: Before you enter the spa, please use hand sanitizer.    

  • Book your appointments by phone:  please do not stop by to make an appointment.

  • Come alone: Please do not bring anyone with you.  If someone drove you to your appointment, please have her/him wait in the car or call her/him when you are finished. 

  • Wipe the restroom before you leave it: If you need to use the restroom, please let your technician/masseuse/ esthetician  know so she can make sure it is vacant and clean. Before you leave the restroom, please wipe down surfaces you touch in the bathroom (toilet handle, toilet lid, toilet seat, faucet handles, doorknobs etc.) with the disinfectant wipes that are provided in the bathroom.

  • Ask for products:  To avoid multiple people touching nail polish bottles/containers, we ask that you let your technician know what you want to have and she will get them for you using gloves. 

A note about safety

Amy's Natural Spa takes COVID-19 very seriously and are doing everything we can ​to make the spa as safe as possible.  We will meet or exceed all public health requirements.  But it is important to remember that some people with COVID-19 have no symptoms.  So despite our very best efforts, we cannot provide a guarantee that someone with COVID-19 may come to the spa.  If you have health concerns that put you at high risk COVID-19 complications or feel uncomfortable with this uncertainty, we understand.  We will welcome you back to the spa when you feel safe and comfortable to do so.  ​

We want to get back to normal but we also want everyone to be safe and healthy. Thank you for your patience as we work through our new processes.
